DR. KARLA M. EMBLETON

Dr. Karla M. Embleton is a Professional Staff Member in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department at Purdue University. She received Bachelor (1988) and Master (1990) degrees in Agricultural Engineering in Canada and completed a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering at Purdue University in 1993. Her research revolves around the use of computer-based information systems and artificial intelligence techniques for the development of educational and analytical software focusing on the management of environmental resources.

RENEE GUNN


Renee Gunn is a student at Purdue University pursuing a degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Engineering in the Agricultural & Biological Engineering. She plans to graduate in December 1998 and then continuing on to graduate school in engineering. Her career plans include owning her own consulting firm for environmental analysis of systems. She is President of Alpha Epsilon, Agricultural Engineering's Honor Society, and is a member of Purdue's chapter os ASAE and Alpha Zeta, an agricultural fraternity.

DR. DON D. JONES

Dr. Don D. Jones is a Professor in Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Purdue University. He received his B.S. and M.S. from the University of Illinois and his Ph.D. from Purdue University. Dr. Jones joined the faculty at Purdue in 1976 as an assistant professor. His current research interests include computer applications (spreadsheets, multimedia) in agriculture, especially applied to agricultural production systems. He has helped develop expert systems in agriculture and has been involved in a number of research projects dealing with animal waste treatment and management.

Dr. Jones received the Team Recognition Award from the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service in 1993 and the Industry Meritorious Service Award from the Indiana Pork Producers Association in 1992.

BILL RYAN

Bill Ryan is an Environmental Scientist for US EPA Region 5; he works for the Water Division in the Ground Water Protection Branch. He is also a vertebrate paleontologist who has coauthored several articles and published various illustrations of fossil vertebrates.
